An International Consensus Meeting on the Cerebellar Mutism Syndrome (CMS) will be hosted by the Posterior Fossa Society on 3rd-5th of August 2018 in Reykjavík, Iceland.

Harpa, a brand new conference center down by the harbor in the heart of Reykjavik city. This precious jewel was designed by the multi-talented icelandic artist Ólafur Elíasson, and is the official seat of both the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and the Icelandic Opera. This lovely venue housed the PFS's first consensus meeting in 2015.

annual general meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the Posterior Fossa Society will be held after the final session of the consensus meeting on Sunday august 5th between 11:30-12:30. Lunch boxes will be made available at the same time. Pogram includes presentation of accounts, voting of new board and discussion of tasks that lie ahead. According to the Posterior Fossa Society's Statutes any one person can only be on the board for a maximum of 4 years in a row. This to ensure equal distribution of power and freshness of thinking within the society. For those of you who have not been on the board yet - take this opportunity to consider whether you would like to volunteer for one of the available posts (President, Secretary and at least 1 Board Member) and take the PFS to the next level in the next couple of years?
2 day excursion August 6-7, 2018 - once in a lifetime adventure
Descend 200 meters down the crater of the 4000 year old dormant volcano Thríhnúkagígur, and dive into tunnels in Iceland's second biggest glacier Langjökull. Limited availability - maximum number of 18 participants. Reservations on a first-come-first-serve basis through the conference registration link above. Please note that while participants can register for the meeting itself as late as they like, the deadline for signing up for the 2-day trip is Saturday the 5th of May. Attendees of the meeting can book slots for as many friends and family members as they wish - first come, first serve. Many deeply regretted not signing up for our last spectacular tour of Iceland in 2015, so make sure not to miss this one! Hereby a copy of the trip description/itinerary, and a link to a live music video filmed inside the volcanic crater we will be visting on the first day: "Way Down We Go" with the icelandic band Kaleo. Whether you are a love of nature, music or beautiful viking boys, then this video is a feast for the eye and ear. It shows the location of the volcano in a rugged lava field on Reykjanes peninsula, areal view of the crater itself, and then the slow descend towards the center of the earth in a special open-air elevator.
